Do you support targeted programs that seek to repair the historic inequities that have created uniquely challenging conditions for Black, Brown and Native people and remediate injustices for each of thesecommunities?

Programs include substantial reparations and significant targeted investments in education, housing, jobs, healthcare, and, through a policy of mass liberation and reparations for the harm of mass incarceration, our criminal justice.

If so, how would you determine what reparations are appropriate and what would you do to advance this?

The United States incarcerates adults at a higher rate than any other nation in the world. Americans make up only about 4% of the world’s population, but account for nearly 25% of the world’s prisoners. More people are behind bars in America than there live in major cities like Philadelphia or Dallas.

People’s Action fights for mass de-carceration at local, state, and national levels. We help elect progressive prosecutors, sheriffs, and judges who are committed to true criminal justice reform and repairing the unequal harms caused by mass incarceration.
